"LAST STOP: GOKUMA"
Momentarily before this scene begins, a simple title card (white text on a black background) appears with the following text:
"November 20XX"
It then fades to black, before fading into the scene itself.
CELL: TRAIN INTERIOR
SCENE: Other than the initial narration, this is the first proper scene of Norikoshi. The player character -- a middle-aged man, with a briefcase on his lap -- is sleeping on an otherwise empty train. The camera idles on him for a few seconds, before he gradually regains consciousness.
Intercom
...Gokuma Station. We have now arrived at Gokuma Station.
The Man wakes up, rubbing his eyes.
Man
(...'The Hell am I?)
The Man surveys the empty train car around him.
Man
(Damn it...it looks like I rode past my stop.)
Man
(Company parties sure get wild...I must've fallen asleep at some point on the way home.)
Man
(What was this station called? ...Gokuma...?)
The Man, still hunched over in his half-asleep state, looks upward as the train Intercom begins to speak.
Intercom
This train is no longer in service. Please exit the train.
Man
(...'Slept all the way until the last stop, huh? Cripes...just what I need tonight.)
The Man groggily rises to his feet and exits the train with his briefcase in hand.
