SCENE #19 "THE START OF AN ADVENTURE"

SETTING: GOKUMA-CHIKAGAI, SECTOR 1, CELL 1 SCENE: The Salaryman and Takami have made their way out of Arson Street and arrived in a large cell with a dour atmosphere, illuminated only by flickering street lamps and the ever-raging fire of the previous area. Takami And...we're here. Salaryman "Here"? Takami Mister Salaryman, welcome to Gokuma-Chikagai, the Main Street of Gokuma Town. Salaryman (Somehow, the atmosphere is a lot different here...like there's a sinister aura pervading this entire street.) Takami Until now, we've following little side streets, but this -- this is the real thing. Takami Um, I should warn you... Salaryman ...I'm listening. Takami They say that, the deeper you go into Heck, the deeper the troubles of the people you meet are. Takami Friends like me and Secchan, angry kitties that just want to be pet, scary skeletons that are pretty cool when you get to know them... Takami ...You can expect things to be a little less simple if we get into another Frencounter. Salaryman I guess this is the underworld, after all. Takami Yeah. Takami B-But it's okay! Because even if their troubles run deep...they're still a person, and I know you can still become their friends. Takami And on top of that, I'm here to help you! Takami strikes a goofy pose. Salaryman ...Thank you again, Takami. Takami It's what I do, Mister Salaryman. You deserve to return your world. Salaryman So, then...we follow this street for how long? Takami Until the very end. It's a straight path -- well, other than the obstacles and all -- and at the end, there's another train station. Salaryman Understood. Let's get moving, then...there's not a moment to waste. Salaryman (...The path forward from this point could well be a dangerous one, but all I can do is keep my wits about me and remember all I've learnt so far.) Salaryman (Whether I can truly survive a walk through the underworld by making friends with ghouls and demons...I only hope to find that answer on the train home.)
